In his role as Chief Human Resources Officer for DuPont, a role he assumed in November of 2018, Darrell provides leadership to all the Company's Human Resources functions and activities, as well as Communications and Integrated Health.

 
 
 

His extensive experience goes far beyond managing the nuts-and-bolts systems and processes typically associated with the HR function. Darrell’s been focused on building successful company cultures for much of his career. During his time as Chief Human Resources Officer for the Xerox Corporation—the position he held immediately prior to his arrival at DowDupont—his top priority was shaping the Xerox culture.

As Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Darrell led the highly successful “AMD Way” effort to align all employees with a culture committed to enhancing the company’s value to customers and shareholders.

Darrell’s experience also includes Vice President of Human Resources for the global Retail and Lubricants division at Shell Oil and Vice President of Human Resources for Corporate Functions at Honeywell International.

Many of his values, interests, and talents are on full display both professionally and personally. He is focused on talent as a value creator, creating a high-performing culture with operational excellence in HR. Darrell has recently been elected to the Board of Directors for the HR Policy Association, and serves as Director for BetterUp, a leadership development platform connecting coaching to sustainable behavior change. He’s also a member of Human Resources 50, the Center for Executive Succession and HR Policy Association (HRPA) and serves as National Director for A Better Chance (ABC). He also serves as an advisory board member for Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations Board and on the University of South Carolina’s Riegel & Emory HR Board.

Elected into the Executive Leadership Council and recognized by Black Enterprise as one of the Most Powerful Executives in Corporate America, Darrell holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Management; a juris-doctorate degree from Rutgers University School of Law; and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Rutgers University.
